Hi!
I didn't qualify JEE 2008. But, when I analysed the paper using Brilliant tutorials solutions I found that
1. A lot of my problems went haywire due to calculation errors.
2. I attempted 73 % paper (approx) and I found that the concepts I applied for ALL the problems was correct.
(I failed as I was having a high fever on 13th , the JEE day).
Now , my father advises me to get into an engineering college and reapper for JEE.
I don't know how to cope up with all this and have not seen anyone around doing so (except my father , 22 years back).
I have no choice of dropping.
So , please me how to study for the following year. AND whether I can make it (Top 1000 ranks).
Thanks & Regards
Siddharth

dear friend
many people here on goiit are planning to do the same as ur father said u
i wont tell there names though
and i myself personally feel that it is a better option as by chance if u dont qualify even next year, u wont be loosing out of a year
that is my point of view on this problem
it might very from people to people
I just wanted to know whether I could make it the top 500. I just need 4 - 5 hours everyday on an average ti prepare.
Also , my father advises against dropping. He says that I won't be able to bear the tension of drop. He says that there's no guarantee of the next year (I have seen many droppers getting third-class ranks & this year even the people who cleared Olympiads didn't clear IIT). My father studied for IIT for only one year simultaneously with a college in Pune and cleared it with a good rank (JEE 1979)
I at any cost want to clear IIT. My determination had always been firm (like my belief) for two years.
I could have cleared this time , but my fever took it's toll on me. Shit!
PS. Tell me can anyone who just studies for 11th and 12th clear IIT in top 500 ranks? (b'coz I haven't seen anyone)
@sid and others ....howaa u ppl planning to do tat........before doing tat read the instructions carefully.........TC FOR IIT MUST BE SUBMITTED DIRECTLY FROM 12TH CLASS NOT FROM ANY OTHER ENGINEERING COLLEGES......please confirm this before u get on with the final decision
@ iitjee_2009
"TC FOR IIT MUST BE SUBMITTED DIRECTLY FROM 12TH CLASS NOT FROM ANY OTHER ENGINEERING COLLEGES"
How do u know dis... i mean whr did u get dat information 4m...?
i know many ppl who get into IIT's after having a self study at BITS for 1 yr along with their academics... it isn't too tough to manage both if v plan it perfectly...

Yaar , plz. help
