hi i have taken isc course and at the same time i am preparing for IIT JEE. i had been studying properly from the day 1. i have a unit test on next monday.(for school) now, i am getting nervous because i think that i will not be able to finish my portions for test, because i think i have concentrated too much on JEE preparation. I am lagging behind the ISC test preparation. only 2 thoughts r coming in my mind <i>study only for test and do JEE later.( but still i won't do well in my test. <ii)concentrate on 2 subjects for the test. please advice.

I think every day you should concentrate on your ISC exam first and when you are finished with it devote as much time to JEE as you can...by this way you won't be having tension for ISC exam... best of luck for your exam

Hi Look it really doesn't matter at all, school exams are useless. I got 97.75 % in ISC Boards 2006, Karnataka topper. But its no point, really, unless I want to go abroad, which I don't. I still had to drop a year to prepare for JEE... and I got a measly rank of 2675. Nope, you must concentrate on your JEE preparation, hardcore. I mean, chuck all these unit tests, yaar, just pass and its enough. Of course, you should be well prepared for your boards, but your IIT preparation will cover 95% of PCM. As for English and electives, and the remaining topics in PCM, you can prepare for those during your school exams. But give preference to your JEE preparation, if you're really serious about it, but never ever overwork yourself. You know best where to strike the balance.

in my opinion class 12 study of PCM is not something alien 2 the jee prep.; they go hand in hand...
i wud say that u shud try studying the same topics in pcm as r in progress in ur school; so u can manage both this way but its easier said than done... bcoz the course in ur school myt rush a bit... then u gotta give ur jee prep. preference... n lemme tell u jee prep is essentially understanding the concepts which myt require some time;
as far as english n an optional subject go forget abt them; just pass in ur tests;dont give tym in mugging them; prepare for them when ur terminals n boards xams come near

well i can tell u what i did i never really studied for small tests at school i didnt evn care to give them but the semester exams i used to prepare properly so i dont knw whats the big fuss bout not able to concentrate at school i mean the syllabi is same for school and for jee only for jee is that u have to push a little more so dont think that they r 2 different things alltogether and go bout doing them properly and in a cohesive manner

You should study to learn subjects and not to crack any particular exam. Now think and you will find the solution yourself.If you are unable to do that nudge me.
