None

LOOK MY AGE IS 18 GOING ON 19.I PASSED MY 12TH THIS YEAR AND GAVE ENTRANCE EXAMS BUT COULD NOT GET GOOD COLLEGES.

BUT I KNOW THAT IN 2009 I WILL GET THROUGH IIT OR BITS PILANI OR DCE OR GOOD NITS

SO CAN I TAKE A DROP FOR THE SAME CONSIDERING MY AGE AS I WILL TURN 19 NEXT YEAR

WILL IT EFFECT MY CAREER AS I WILL BE GRAUATING FROM ENGINEERING COLLEGE AT THE AGE OF 23 IF I GET INTO IT NEXT YEAR

It`s fine mate,even I have de same age & I`m dropping.

Once u get thru a top college next yr,it won`t matter dat u got thru in second attempt or ur age is more-coz u`ll definitely hav a gr8 placement at 23.
So stop worrying n study hard.
Gud luck

hey ..i looked into ur situation...u might be really confused..i wont say that i can understand ur problem...but still would give u a advice.
Do whatever your heart says....
if u feel that u will make it top ins. next year, then u should definitely drop...but if u feel u make ur future bright by studying n working hard in any ins then without wasting a year, join a college...
After u decide,plz tell ...

isnt that the scenario with all droppers ?
the people who drop dont freeze their age na ?

dude its fyn
a year drop for a good college, even a mid level NIT is worth it
kuch farak nahi padta if u lose a year of ur lyf, only thing is be determined and get a good college

i am the same age as you and even i am fropping a year

first of all 23 is infact a very young age,and most normal eng grads pass out at dis age.and as far as the iits are

concerned repeaters are very common and infact mejority of them are repeaters.

anyway if you are dropping a year aim for nothing less than an iit or a good nit (by the way my bro is in an nit and

knows many of them who drop even more than one year).

hope that made you feel better .let me know of you disicion

best of luck

droping doesn't mean success.............if ur very confident and ready to really work hard then u must drop and start studying in a stratigic way....................................
about age i think it doesn't matter,no mnc is interested whether u r 23 or 22 or 24.......................they only wanted u to have good communication skill and passed wid a good cgpa.......................
so dont worry and work hard
BEST OF LUCK

i feel if u think that u r very sure of making into good nits u can take a drop. but understand one thing if u take a drop dont overpressurize urself. dont b so confused man..i agree with nunoxic and intellgirl. i had talked to a proffesor of metallurgy in iit bombay. he said that most of the ppl in iits r droppers.
