Mechanical Engineering can be studied by girls.........I ont think there is any harm in that.........The only reason why people dont approve mechanical for gals becoz u need some amount of strength and stamina to perform some lab activities ..............
but we BOYS ARE ALWAYS THERE TO HELP U...... ;)

Mechanical engineering is an engineering discipline that involves the application of principles of physics for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It requires a solid understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy. Practitioners of mechanical engineering, known as mechanical engineers, use these principles and others in the design and analysis of automobiles, aircraft, heating & cooling systems, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, and more. With respect to BIT mesra The excellent laboratory facilities, modern computer clusters, systematically designed curriculum, and dedicated faculty members make this Department a dynamic place to study. Graduates from the Department of Mechanical Engineering are highly-employable and sought after by many prestigious companies. There is also an excellent careers centre on campus which helps the students to get entry into Multinational companies:-
The Mechanical Enginreering Department offers the following degree courses: · B.E. (Mechanical Engineering): 4 years programme. · M.E. (Mechanical Engineering: 2 years programme - Heat Power - Design of Mechanical Equipment ·Ph.D. ? Mechanical Engineering related disciplines as well as multi-disciplinary fields.
All degree schemes offered by the Department are modular and structured to allow you to gradually build on your knowledge and skills. During the first two years of B.E. Programme, students follow a syllabus of core engineering modules, which are common to all branches of engineering, plus some modules that are specific to own degree scheme. The courses also have a wide practical element based on the lecture modules, including laboratory work, team projects and industrial tours and seminars. In addition, every student carries out a professional project in their final years. The professional project gives students a chance to apply their engineering skills to a real engineering problem. Many professional projects are industrially driven or linked, giving students direct exposure to industry as part of their studies. There is also a strong tutorial system which provides students with a point of contact with a member of staff who can also advise on any welfare issues. So there is definitely a bright career fot girls in BIT , Mesra Mechanical Engineering courses.

See........Actually Mechanical engineers need to perform in hard hazardous plant conditions.........!!! There may be problems even at midnight and they may call u......!!!
That is the reason why it is considered not that good for girls........!!!!!!
But Mechanical engineering has the greatest scope......!!!!!!
Nowadays girls opt for Research control divisions of the plant and spend a very easy kind of less stressful work.......!!!!!!!
Also u can opt for Engineering consultancy firms instead of plants which is much better.....!!!!!!

No there are not same. The faculty for the girls one is different as it the practicals of mechanical would involve physical strength. The carreer couses are same for both. They are comparable in their standards....you don't need to worry . You can build a good career over there. In fact this time the main BIT Mesra has ranked again amongst the Top Engineering Institutes of India according to 'India Todays' Statistics.
