how cum chem pilani is better now don giv me schlum/shell jargon both 1-2 each and its only for those who r really intersested otherwise a person would prefer a software profile......unless he likes Peru etc..
and yes better s/w co. come at Pilani but they wont even look at the chem/civil guys as they have so many students 2 choose from if u do cse from goa atleast microsoft/yahoo etc will consider u....
warna chem/civil waale mera college mahaan karte reh jaayenge aur cse/eee goa waale chupchaap MS/Yahoo/HP etc mein ghus jaayenge :)

@adbaby .. did u ever ask me wht ur option sheet shud luk like ? no .. so hw am i supposed to noe wt option sheet u have filled in .. at that tym also i had said "u mite get chemical at pilani " .. i never said nething bt goa did i ??? next time better luk at wt u urself have done rather than blamin sum1 else fr ur mistake .. had u asked me wt to fill i wud never have advised to fill goa eee at such a place ..
nd if u still think its my fault read wt posts u have sent me nd wht i have replied to u ...
and for microsoft yahoo etc .. fine now dance o ur tune .. we will see in 4 yrs wt happens to ur microsoft dream ... goa placements are bad and whatsoever defence cn be given it hold no match to pilani
nd mainly it is due to narrow minded ppl like u that branches like civil and chemical arent preffered ... thats sheer idiotism i feel .. bt who cn say nething ..
in todays time when ppl are option for new iit over exiesting ones i guess this is just a small mistake to do ... only god noes when will ppl get more sensible

i filled my preference order as
cs
eee
eni
mech
chem
all at pilani campus seeing last years cut offs. so there is no point in arguing civil over chem or bits goa and bla bla bla
all that i want to know is why people say that chemical is not a good branch????????

see itz more iof a perception .. chemical is a gud branch neday .. pl just tend to prefer comp cz it offers instant gud placemments plus lesses taxing environments .. same hlds fr civil too ..
the thing is being a chemical eng ite not gurantee u a gud initial placement but 2-3 yrs down the line theres a lott of growth ...
nd i guess the comp mania is mainly cz many ppl think "they are born to be computer eng " mainly cz comp is what they have handld always .. they havent played with chemicals nd factories and stuff ..
beleive me ppl entering clg have 0 info bt what a branch luks like ... thasts y cs etc . are prefered nd chemical is perceived to be bad

I waz myself indulging in such fights some days back :P....
but man its ur final choice which counts Goa nd Pilani both r good..
students mite discriminate but BITS Management wont...same facilities/opportunities will be offered.....
and rem. that whatever decision u take will be good in the long run....

@adhikar .. itz ok man .. just ws rlly pi**** at this guys attitude .. that stuid guy is arguing that i remained quiet .. wt an idiott .. nd on top of it he dusnt wanna listen .... this attitude enrages me a lot ! i never said goa is bad but yes on a comparitive way pilaniis much better than goa .. bt sumhw ppl dnt feel like listening now days ( i m sure this will be taken care off in his clg fr sure >.. :D )

You should go for CSE in Goa or Mech in Pilani if you get it.
CSE in Goa is better according to me,
