well i think u should take vit as you have a good branch.....in nits u wont have much of an option.....thapar n vit are allmost same though the pace of development of vit is quite fast......daiict is now having some issues....thapr and vit are much better than daiict.....
so my final verdict is go for vit

u hv a good branch at vit which u wont get at thapar at that rank
and the fees of thapar is too high.......unnecessarilly high.....
go for vit...it rocks
well i agree cent percent with rainbow .....vit n thapar are far far better than daiict.......u dont have much of a chnce at good nits....
though i will suggest vit as it is much cheaper ........
but again if u r from north india ...the distance factor comes into play
quite a tough one actually.......but i hv heard a lot about daiict,vit and thapar....i am not related to any of them....but some of my friends are studying there.........so according to their feedback.....i would say vit is much much much better than thapar and daiict.......specially i would emphasise on daiict...my friends personal experience in daiict is very bad...
and about thapar ...well people say that its not worth the fees...
and about vit....only thing its period of success is very short.....i mean vit was highly critisised even 2 yrs back......
but now the scenario over there has changed a lot ...vit people have filled up there loopholes very much.....so if this goes on then vit has a great future...
as for the present ......vit stands on top of daiict and thapar.....
so vit is the best option for u
look ... nothing beats vit except top 3 nits......get it..........no daiict , no thapar..........they are close ....but still vit is ahead of them.....way ahead of them...............whatever be the faculty campus etc etc all rubbish .....it allcomes down to one thing that matters the most......and that is alumini ........why do you think vit is becoming so known ......its because of the feedback of the companies that recruit from vit.......the international recognition that vit gets......only brands such as dce , top 3 nits,and bits and iit beat vit in that.................
so dude stop asking stupid questions.....vit is far better.....go for it

atleast there are some sensible people who knows the actual truth.... god help those who think VIT is good college....
i got 7000 rank last year in VIT and could get IT.... i decided to drop and very happy that i did not join VIT.... PLEASE DONT TRUST RANKING OF STUPID MAGAZINE >>> rest is up to YOu
hi..i hav a rank of 1125 in vit...and 30650 in aieee...state rank 906 frm west bengal...
i did not attend d 1st phase of counselling of vit becuz of all tht i hav heard abt it...bt now recently sum ppl r saying its nt tht bad...
i will get chemical in nit durgapur nd maybe electronics and instrumentation in vit if i attend d 2nd phase of counselling...
should i consider vit?? plz help and soon...
