not for those who r apearing for jee for the first time

this question is not meant to be answered by those giving jee for 1st time ... only 2nd timers or experts are requested to answer this one after thinking a bit o it ... i m pretty confused over this issue ...

hello ... i m aman ... i gave my entrances this year and my ranks in each were as ..

IITJEE .. 2896 ( got biotech roorkee but left it )

AIEEE .. 3252

DCE .. 182

BITSAT .. 358 score ... currently doing B.E hons ELEctrical n electronics engineering ..pilani

for the past time ... i hv heard all this hullaballu abt iit ...
i mean what is so gr8 abt iit ???? i m at a decent collg ... but ys i noe almost eveyone will be trying to give it again ... everyone wants to get in... can i ask ... stupid it might seem ... why ??? doesnt a collg like bits doesnt have e opportunities ?

i wanted to get nto iit ... but inthe end it didnt work out that way ... but now ppl r saying tha u shud give jee aain ... u " deserve it "
as if bits is some bhootbangla ... they say i m capable enuff ... nd somehow i noe that iitans r i a different league as of now .. but frankly spking i dont noe why i shud give it or not ... for me individual effort matters a lot ... but still a partof me is still oriented towards iit ... i dont want to mess up my collg ... n neither do i just wanto gi jst for the heck of giving it ... cud someone suggest me what shud be done in such a dilemma?

There are two parts of your question. First why to go for IIT and second is whether it will be sensible to mess up with ur current studies to go for it.
Lets take them one by one. As far as first one is concerned i don't know much about infrastructure or level of faculty or opportunities or things like this for BITS so i won't comment on that. But there is one thing which makes IIT different. And that is the kind of students it has. And the exposer that it provides in terms of shear tallent is different.

Second should you mess up with your studies at BITS. I don't think you need to do that to get a good rank in JEE. As far as I know to clear JEE you need two things (1) A basic knowledge of subjects which you have for sure as you have already cleared JEE and that remains more or less same for everyone who clears JEE (2) Your mental ability which is different for different students. So you were JEE 2896 and not JEE 289 or 28 because your mental level was not as good. And you don't need to mess up your studies to improve your mental abilities. Keep exercising your mind in your BTech subjects (Remember you have to exercise your mind and not read your books.) and keep revising JEE stuff for an hour and two per day and i am sure you can make into JEE with good rank
