dont worry dude, u still have 1 more year to go. Physics is all abt concept and understanding the situation. If u r having problem understanding the questions, then draw large, clear diagrams, these help a lot. If u have doubts abt concepts, read the theory of ncert/hc verma/resnick halliday. Solve problems of I.E. Irodov for concept-building. good luck!!!

well...developing a fear with the subjects is mainly because one's concept is not clear.... which make the person do mistakes in exam..and hence loose marx... and phy is too conceptual...once u knw the concept well... i dnt think u'll be having any prob.... so jst get back to basics...and once u r done iwth concepts...practice as much as u can...practice in maths gives u speed, nd practice in phy clears ur concepts even more.... and even if then u think...u r unable to cum up with ur fear....then i'll suggest that jst study JEE-phy...not the phy given in buks(they give many things, which r nt at all required in JEE xam)... cuz ultimately ur aim is to land up in IITs...u can study watevr u want to,when it cums to maths and chem...if u r gud at the two...but since u r not so gud at phy...try to jst clear the cut-off in phy...it wont require the whole syllabus done with thorough study... choose some topics..leave a few...but those whom u do... study them in such a way...that doesnt matter...koi bhi problem aaye... u wont mess up in that... and lastly...never call i am weak...call it i am not gud at it..

I too am entering 12th and quite understand your problem
i would suggest you buy Physics - D.C.Pandey (ARihant Publishers) It comes in various volumes as you may find out Believe me, if your problem is exactly like how you have described and i have understood, you may well be preparing a good bye speech for it
It is JEE focused and you won't believe the simplicity of physics once you do it As I too found out earlier this Jan - compared to our mental image, there are hardly any solid base concepts in physics - most of the others have been built upon those few. you'll find as you move through it, you yourself have started to think about the subject and see the theory's effects in the physical model
Its a damn beautiful book
The theory's been explained in a very short yet detailed manner (sounds confusing?) it means they have focused on to the point precise facts and concepts - thus they are short. yet once you read, you feel like you have been told everything top to bottom which gives you a great sense and happiness of understanding - which is so easy to get
Theres one catch though As I said, the theory is precise, you will have to go through each line and stop to think - Each line requires a thought or atleast a second's reflection for the concept to settle - stop to resolve EVERY single doubt you face - yourself - use help if it is still not understandable Another thing is that, for complete utilization, you'll have to do it alongwith ALL the mid chapter questions, solved and unsolved exercises - As someone I know put it rightly - "The theory given teaches you 25% and the rest 75% is given by the questions"
Another piece of advice would be this: Solving questions is all about confidence. The 'fear' you have developed is due to that feeling you get when someone gives you a question and you don't have a clue as to what that ques even means let alone solution. Your mind should ideally start buzzing off with possible ways to solve when you see a ques. This confidence that you can solve all questions comes from...well..solving questions. Once you get the fundamentals from this book or any book right, don't jump off to JEE level questions. Start easy, with the simplest questions you can find. Normally its the order in which the questions are given in a book or else there are books where questions are divided into levels The raising of level should be uniform lest that fear comes again. You'll have a good feeling about any subject if you do this
PS: I hope my answer turns out to be the longest of all! You see, I want to show that I am quite determined to help someone who feel EXACTLY the way I did! :P

morningdew thanks for your rply but you are saying that mind should buzz with posible methods to solve a question when one comes to see a question but my mind never does even after doing a hell lot of theory. secondly i do have dc pandey objective but i find this buk a lot difficult and i am not able to solve its question. WHAT TO DO. ALSO TELL A BUK TO PREPARE NCERT

Hi! First off, I wasnt talking about dc pandey objective. this book concentrates on questions - this might be useful for a later phase DC pandey also writes other books (look at it on the leaflet of the objective book) - they r mechanics vol 1 & 2, thermo, electricity, etc. those are the ones i referred to - believe me - its worth to buy them if any of your frnds hav it, you might see fr urself if it suits u if not - well - i suggest u go fr it anyway
75% of ncert will be prepared by this book itself. for the rest of the part, ncert book itself is the best bargain there is pradeep available, but you dont want to rely too much on it - mainly becoz it stretches the theory too much i think
