In pure science you need to do graduation first. After graduation IISc have direct Ph.D. programme through entrance exam. Alternatively you need to do post graduation, here also for good research options PG through IITs, admission through entrance exam. After PG , IITs also have research programmes , you can join at that stage also.All the universities have PG & research facility.After graduation or PG you may try to go abroad for research through suitable entrance exams.

Same applies to engineering & technology.

u havent mentioned vat kinda research u wanna do!!!!
by the way u could do a 5 year bsc+msc course in the bhu!!
after that u could do ur phd in jnu, delhi (vich is the best in india)
it basically depends on ur skill and interest!!!!!!!!!!
plenty of funding is also required
