hello..sirs..i hav given eamcet , bitsat , and aieee xams this yr. with really high expectations on eamcet

but after the resultz everything went wrong..

in eamcet i got 24k

in aieee AIR 87k

in bitsat very less..

i only prepared for eamcet syll. and i was easily expecting a rank below 5k ( after writing the paper and verified wid the key ) ..which wld easily fetch a seat in gud coll.  but now with such a rank im getting a ECE in normal coll.

iam very gud at studies..infact i was expected 2 get 1000 below in eamcet by my teachers..

now the prob. is my family members advice "forget abt.  the past and conc. on engg. juz see to it that you top the college, ECE has a demand so u get gud placement..and then u can go for MS in states or here itself"

and i say " i wil definitely join engg. coll. (EAMCET) this yr. but at the same time i shall prepare for BITSAT / AIEEE next yr. so that if i get a seat i wld go there.." so that i dont risk a complete yr.

i had high dreams 4 my future...i wantd 2 b gratuated from a well known coll. and iam sure i hav the stuff enough..i dont want 2 compramise at the beginning of my life itself..

my family argues ..wasting a yr. for a gud coll. = persuing the engg. froma normal coll.

who is right me or my family members...my parents left the decision on me..wat shld i do..? shld i conc. on thie engg. coll. i get / try for bitsat and nit next yr. persuing engg.
