i am interested in electronic branch of engineering.i was just wondering in case i clear JEE but i get a rank which does not give me seat in my favourite branch then should i join whatever branch i get or should i drop a year and give it another try or if i get my favourite branch through AIEEE in some other good college such as Thapar,should i join it.at present i'm satisfied with 3 branches-Electronics,Computer and Mechanical.i hate Architect a lot.or if i get a low rank and don't get a good branch,should i work hard in the first semester and score well to move into my favourite branch.plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me no need to ask for rates

coz iit is iit .. you wont get such exposure in any other institute .. .

If you're going to a univ for masters where ur bachelors' degree choice of field doesnt matter then u cud take up a non preferred field in IIT too.. but not too low!
so that in masters degree u can take up ur desired field... many ppl do that.

don't think abt any other option becoz if u'll....the it w'll be difficult fr u to get into iits......work more if u think so!!

well honestly speaking........try to get the branch u want and if u dont get then try again....well if i were in that situation i wud do so.

I always suggest to prefer branch first if your are getting it in some reputated college. You are in class 11th, no need to worry about such things. Work hard to get electronics in IIT itself.

i think i'm now satisfied with whatever i have read coz' everybody is giving preferrence to getting selected in your favourite branch
