respected experts i am anil a student of class 11 and want to get top 100 of jee 09 ... i am new to this site and i would be highly thank ful to give me advice on books and preparation and i also want to tell that till now in physics i have done ncert and h c verma (vol 1) in chem i have only done ncert and in maths i have solve ncert and rd sharma and now i am revising these for my 11 finals so plzzzzz suggest me books i shud refer in 12 as i want to get in top 100 and i study for abt 5-6 hours with full concentration i will rate every reply

First of all buddy, there is no need to rate.

Now, what u have done till now is pretty gud. For 12th, any subject u can do any book to strenthen yr concepts, but simultaneously do objective type questions to get used to them, because in iit, we have objective ad not subjective type.

and u can do any book containg iit oriented obj. ques.

Maths:
a)RD Sharma
b)ML khanna
*must have both ....real good books.

Physics:
a)HC Verma (Vol.1 & 2)
b)Arihant

Chemistry:
a)P.Bahadur (Physical)
b)MTG (organic)
c)OP Agarwal (Inorganic)

And regarding getting top 100 see mate get urself builing
a note machine

see prepare notes for very chapter seperately and then
remember each important thing to be noted down in it :)

And you have already solved much and i think if you keep
going at this pace then u can get JEE AIR < 100.

But remeber "LOT OF EFFORTS"

Well I did the following for my JEE preparation.. i think these books are a good choice ..

Maths

I did Arihant books .. they were really cool

Physics

I was relying on H.C.Verma , which I think is a very good book and shud be followed.

Chemistry

For, inorganic i used Arihants book. P.Bahadur for Physical, and for Organic again Arihant books ...

if u will be regular ... than < 100 is not hard to get ..

Trigonometry and coordinate - S L Loney

Calculus-- I A maron (many topics have to be deleted, bt overall its a nice one for getting the concepts)

algebra- hall nd knight

and for the rest of topics, arihant and TMH is gud, and for practice too

Chemistry

physical-- RCM (bharti bhawan publications), P Bahadur

organic - morrison-boyd, sanyal and sanyal, I L finar(many thing shave too be deleted) and for practising the questions, do frm TMH ...it has gud questions...

inorganic, just text-buk , or any refrence buk like ABC

nd dnt neglect the NCERT at any cost

Physics

HC Verma ...u'll get everything in physics,

NCERT for class 11-12

irodov for practising sums...(but not all)

Here goes my pick of books

For Maths : Problems plus in IIT Mathematics ~ Asit Das

Gupta.This book should be done thoroughly.I believe it is

the best.....Some wonderful sessions of brain storming

ahead if you go with this one!!!Get yourself an Objective

book for some rigorous practice.MTG,Arihant,TMH there

are scores of publishers.

For Physics : I think H.C.Verma is the bible you don't need

anything more.

For Chemistry:

for Inorganic ::J.D.Lee

for Organic ::Peter Sykes,Morrison Boyd or

L.G.Wade....and get MTG or Arihant for practice

S.N.Sanyal:Reaction Mechanism book is also good

for Physical::R.C.Mukherjee,P.Bahadur

You really have to pour in everything for that rank...So be

prepared for some sacrifices ahead

And if you haven't got a test series then get yourself one.

hey u sud also follow some magazines lyk mtg,spectrum if possible
can hav correspondence courses 4 jee from-FIITJEE,RESONANCE OR BANSAL CLASSESS and not from anywhere else.
apart from theses u sud all those books prescribed by other guys .
they hav suggested u some really gud buks.
also 4 a rank <100 u need 2 read 4 abt 12-15 hours a day,although it's
difficult but not impossible.
try 2 go hard at da concepts
