well i think they say its a paradox becoz there can be situations where phytoplanktons might exceed the biomass of fishes but most of the time its the other way round and the statement that the pyramid of biomass in sea is inverted is true
|

its bcoz rate of production and consumption of phytoplanktons is higgh nd hence they can support zooplanktons wid low standin crop rates ...
