If you live in Delhi or NCR, then DCE anyday. Else NIT Trichy>=DCE>NIT Warangal>NIT Surathkal

However I doubt the diff btw W and T is more than negligible.

don't expect av or in fact even highest placements for any NIT to be significantly higher than DCE and there are chances it might be lower. I don't know whether they will be converted to IITs or not, as a brand value stick to DCE and there isn't much of a difference overall anyway, although faculty at DCE is worthless I admit. Try for NSIT if you can though.

If you don't live in Delhi and don't mind loosing on a good college life then go for the NITs. However if you want the best college life as well as a branded college or if you stay in Delhi, DCE is the best choice no doubt.

Delhi is a good in fact the best city of India with all modern facilities and everything needed to enjoy life to the max. That all can't be found in smaller cities or big towns for that matter. Delhi is DELHI after all.
