regarding amrita institute

hey i joined amrita cbe mech .and i from chennai so when i went to the hostel i found many things not suiting me like it has 4 persons in a single hostel room(how can we study when 2 persons keep there books on a single desk and its also half km from college).so considering this i thought i would be a dayscholar --for this the bus takes around half an hour to reach the main bus stand (daily 2hrs wasted in travel-- 1hr coming +i hr going).
So i came to an conclusion that i should use the train for travel .for this my parents r trying to stay in cbe. My request is what u think abt the transport --Is travel by trains the best??
