Preparing for IITJEE-08 Means that there are 5 months left for both of Us.
Now where do you stand in whole of India will be the first thing you are required to know!!!
If now you find that you are where in the rankings may be you will be able to surpass your present AIR with further hardwork and achieve a good rank in JEE,AIEEE etc.
Now First thing is Are you giving AITS ?
If not enroll for AITS (ask experts like Chimanshu_007) The AITS will let you know where do you start after completion of your JEE portion.

Study for your boards (major time) and put a revision to all the topics of one subject at a time.
Eg: Board preps + Revision of 1 topic of 1 subject (JEE)
Make sure you have no doubts. Then go through all the questions that you were not able to do before when you attempted them the first time.
