hello goiitians
i'm not targetting at anyone..........
no offence
recently there was a conversation for reservation and especislly sc/st
many did say many things about sc's
being a sc i felt bad
but now i hear voices saying that i'm inferior and dont deserve nething
i have already wasted 1 full year and have to cope up with it........
have taken jee serious from this month and prep. is going gud
but after this i'm not able to concentrate
help me plzzzz

I GOT 9%ILE IN DA 1ST FIITJEE AITS WRTOE DA NEXT GOT 0.7%ILE ........WANTED TO RITE DA NEXT ONE ALSO BUT CUDNT AS MY RELATIVES IN DA TEST CENTER WER OUT OF STATION..........
DONT FEEL DISCOURAGED BY DA SC THING.............WHAT EVERY ONE MEANT WAS DAT DER WUD BE LESS SEATS IN DA GENERAL CATAGORY,,,,,,,,,,,WHICH INCULDES MOST OF DA STUDENTS RITING DA XAM,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WHILE COMPARATIVLY LESS FROM DA REST CATAGORY LYK SC,OBC ETC RITE IT.............AND THUS THEY HAVE NOT MUCH COMPETITION IN THEIR CATAGORY AND DEY HAVE DIFRENT CUTOFS.......

DEY WIDOUT HARD WORK GET THRU JEE BUT FIND PROBLEMS IN DA COLEGE AS DEY R NOT ABLE TO COPE UP AND DEY GET WHAT DEY DESRVE,,,,,,,,,,
PLUS U U HAVE TALNENT Y R U WORRIED.......U SHUD BE IN ALL IF U WER IN MY PLACE.........DA TOCHERE,DA PAIN DA SUFFERING...
IN MY OPINION ACTUALY DA NEW RESERVATION WAS NOT REQUIRED.....IT WAS UNNESESARY AS DA TALENTED SC STUDENTS WUD ANY GET THRU BECUZ OF THEIR TALENT !!!!!
BUT IF U GET A GUD RANK IN JEE U CAN SHOW DEM!!!!
ALWAYS REMEMBER MY EXAMPLE.........
ALL CHANGE IS NOT GROWTH.....ALL MOVEMENT IS NOT FORWARD!

jus go with ur studies
people who only depend on them shud repent not the people who have talent
so don care abt them
here we r talking abt those kind of people who dont do any work in these 2 yrs n jus enjoy prepare 2 or 3 topics frm each subject n depend a lot on reservation to qualify(while we who don have reservation have to strive a lot)
we know u r not one of these so don worry

oh don't worry,
i already had that problem for the whole day,but somehow got over it.......
besides the best thing is to forget about it all
just think of studies revision etc....
well due to my hectic schedule i don't get time to ponder abt it,well it's like a hangover,drink some tea.... or coffee and it will go over...
for,now just forget you are an sc,and keep on ur studies...
i said you can u this as a motivation>>>
p.s. i never had a hangover................

Look,people say many things...
People will classify others on many grounds,even discriminate unfairly..
Just ignore it all...whatever happens,dont retaliate..if you throw a stone in a gutter,it just throws back dirt at you..

Don't believe anyone when they say you're inferior because of your caste...see people are just upset over the quotas and have been talking crap about those benifittting by it...just turn a deaf ear to them..

Regarding your preparations,I'm in the same boat as you,so don't feel you're alone!!Just keep on studying and working hard;you'll acheive what you want.

we aint saying u r inferior.....
but see
if u get marx mmmmm say around 250......
den u can get IIT-D maybe a CSE branch......but wat abt others....
dey will get some roorkee etc dat too....no CSE no ECE
dats the point....
and ofcourse......people will say n say n say u dun listen......study well....
well this year we are having 9% quota (be happy all)
next year it will be 18% and the following year it will be 27% (as i have heard in the news)
bt in 2010 3 new IIT's will also open
so maybe.....nt dat much bad
anyways

Hello! Ganesha........see yaar being SC /ST isn't a crime.......neither u shud feel inferior........nd if u r getting reservation its not ur fault.......its all Government policy, there vote bank funda.......who's pointing u out????.......if u r getting the benefit just utilize it........but the problem is with those category students who just by chance reach into these premiere instis......they then just r screwed up in that System of IIT.......if u r talented u'll do well over there too......nd yeah as Chimanshu said above. the branches the category students get even at low marks sometimes feel disgusting......lemme give an interesting info here:
This year a category student who got 165/486 marks got IIT R (BTech Electrical) and another who got 145 got Btech Mechanical there.........nd if u talk about General candidates, they cud not evan hv cleared the cut-offs at such low marks bcoz there cut-off was 206.........nd a person who got 212 marks got only BArch at IIT R (so dats the difference) nd thats the bad part of it.......but neways u just take a chilll-pill and relax......no one is criticizing you......u just concentrate on ur studies..... okkk
