hey i am in a very similar situation as @whatever and have messed up many of my engineering exams

dropping a year looks like a favourable dicision to me
i some what agree with @revathi_pearl but don't you think taking a drop may get you a deserving place in nits or other great collegs if not iit
and i feel hard work and proper guidance may just fetch you a seat in iit........... after taking a drop

see mate........its ur life,ur the owner of urself.dnt give a damn to what ppl say.if u r passionate abt something and ur heart will get happiness by going for it then nothing should stop u.one or two years dnt matter in a long life rather it will make u a stronger person, much more determined and mature.

Repeating should solely be your decision. DON'T get carried away by what your friends or parents advice you. You will find mixed responses, so it's no use asking anybody. YOU have to clear IIT, YOU know your potential and only YOU can convince yourself.

okay thanks.... but i wanted to know that even if i do repeat can i write BITSAT again?? and should i join a college while repeating, if i repeat??? because ive heard it is very difficult to coping with the iitjee if you do college as well..... so should i repeat without joining any college or should i join some BSc or something..

i guess if u r so much determined u must focus for iit see it depends on enviorment ur family gives in following two cases u take admn in wateva coll u get and prepare fr jee give a shot nxt yr (u will be safe as there will be back up if u dnt make to iit 09[i pray u do] ) or sit at home in first case chances of clearin r less but its less risky but in second more chances but dont fall prey to games or wateva just focuss!!!!
