Son selected for Bhopal NIT on OFF-campus, how it is ?

It is one of the best NITs. Which course? Chances are he will get something even higher in offline couneling at least after the second round.

He is selected in ece, can it change to others nit or trades before it on campus starts ?

He will have to make his choices off campus all over again I guess. If he is getting ECE at Bhopal right now then there is a decent chance that he ends up with CS in Bhopal/Nagpur/Jaipur or IT in Allahabad/Jaipur/Surathkal
He has done really well! Congratulate him...

He is ST candidate from Assam, AIR 74,827, SR 507
Can he expect the same as he selected for ECE NIT Bhopal on
campus?

I have no idea about ST and stuff. However from what I guess what he gets offcampus could be significantly better than what he has got now.

The preference was as follows
1. Warrangal ECE
2. Bhopal ECE
3. Durgapur
Including above 77 preferences were selected mentioning the trades ECE, CE AND ME

When open the ccb web site, a notice comes-
" The central couslling board of AIEEE 2008 is scheduled to be held from july 4-13 2008. To avoid disappoinment candidates are advse to check this website for vacant seat status before proceeding to the counselling centre."
I checked the status at 1800 hrs to-day, but did not see any such information.
Pl inform the site.
