im mohit patni and got rank of 3451 in jee......

can i get electrical or maechanical in any of iit;s????

im gettin 312 in bits......

wat shud i do ??

shud i attemd the counselllig of jee???

plzz help me

u will not get electrical and mechanical
U may try for electrical in IT-BHU.........or ISM

Attend the counseling and see what you get.In BITS , also you'll get something.Make your final choice after you know what you are getting where.

try for IT-BHU rather than BITS-P........you must be getting all brances except CS,EE in ITBHU.....dekh le kisme zyaada interested hai......ITBHU is a brilliant college. I think you should go for it..

If you are getting something good in IT-BHU , take that.Frankly your 312 is OK OK , your JEE rank in contrast is better.

If you are OK studying a rather off beat branch or a plain MSc (without any Dual) in the IITs , you can take that too.

Make sure you keep the BITS option open , in case you don't get anything elsewhere.You should get an MSc (with Engg Dual ) at BITS at least.

frankly speaking IT BHU is better than just IIT Guwahati in totality although infrastructre at Guwahati is better than that at IT BHU .
In totality IT BHU is at par with IIT Roorkee Also since from june 09 IT BHU is being upgraded to IIT status things are hoped to improve greatly.

also being at Banaras Hindu University a central university is a great boon in itself it gives you whole lot of opportunities to learn a variety of things due to cooperation within various faculties of the biggest residential university of Asia
and after upgradation you would have a double advantage of being in an IIT as well as the best central university of the country.

a whole list of the various branches is available.... has complete information regardin wat ur rank wil fetch u in the iits....
