Guys this problem has been haunting me for days since the start of my 12th standard i m just not able to keep a track of the chapters regularly its really unfortunate that i m posting this message now but i do need some help in this regard as an example if i revise a topic say nitrogen and its compounds in organic chemistry today i forget it within a day and i have to revise it again and again to keep a track of it often i feel confident about a chapter but when i solve papers i make really silly mistakes that could have been avoided if i had revised the chapter again considering the fact that silly mistakes can cost a jee seat ...this would not help me get into JEE i have tried various methods such as yoga etc to improve concentration for about a month but they all have been futile too bad that despite leaving the site i m posting this message but i doo need some serious help now

Buddy, dont forget that U R a human being and not a machine or robot. U CANT REMEMBER A TOPIC WITHOUT REVISING.
Revising is a key to success. Whenever U start a new chap, revise it everyday for first 2-3 days, then decrease ur frequency of revising. Means after revising for 2-3 days, next revision shud be after 3 days gap, then a week gap, then abt 10 days gap. And WHENEVER U FEEL ANY TOPIC IS SLIPPING OUT OF UR MIND, just give an hour to it and revise it. The more U revise, more it will be fresh in ur mind.
U gav an example of organic chap. For organic I must say that U CANT LEARN IT WITHOUT REVISION. Even some gr8 teachers need to revise so that they dont forget. Chem is very volatile and U will lose control on it if U go without revision. Organic demands CONSTANT EVERYDAY REVISION.

Well I too faced the same problems but to be true it requires lot of mugging over and over again for the matters to sit down in your brain. I can suggest 1 or 2 things which might be helpful :
Make a ritual, when you wake up flick through at least 5 pages. Do this everyday, it may help a little but it would surely help.
Make some cheats of these topics and keep them at one place. Whichever book you'll do today distribute these cheats in different parts of your book. Now go through the book as usual we all do, whenever you come across a cheat make it a point to revise all the things written on that cheat. This will ensure your regular revision.
Hope this helps.

See buddy, The best way to revise is if u hav ur coaching/tution notes, revise from them OR revise from the source or buk from where U first studied these chaps. No need to change the buk for theory ,it will confuse u rather than helping U. As far as practising ques is concerned, as only a month is left, no need to start a new buk. Do ques randomly from various buks, ques papers, mosk tests. It will be very helpful for ur revision.
