Ranking procedure for jee clearly states
in point 3. Subject-wise Cut off- All candidates whose marks are in the top 80% bracket of the total candidates appeared will qualify the cut off requirement for that subject for General/DS category. Candidates meeting the cut off requirements for all the three subjects will be considered for the ranking.

let me clear it procedure will be like this for each the three subject they will prepare a percentile-type list in these three lists the top 80% are selected and from these those who are commen in every list fulfil their cut off requirments. and a AIR will be given to every student then after it those whose airs are in the range of seats available*1.15 will qualify for the flying future he he he he so... juz chil..yar
