I am totaly agree with amit .akshay you have made your vision totally on ranking of colleges published by different sources. You consider uptu all colleges are useless but my brother change your view. Sorry but you have on idea about uptu colleges. You are considering galgotia,jss,kiet so called kam chalau colleges but you dont know that 85% of galgotia student are placemented this year till today date........ So please dont confuse people by giving wrong advice....dont you know let of know you placement record and facilities wise jss,kiet,galgotia are very good colleges. How can u say that there is 0% scope for any branch.Just upgrade you knowledge . All top companies visits these colleges as in so called hbti. It all depends on you not all on your college. Top companies visits in every good college even in average college if you have the potential than you will got selected........well thats my opinion

85% is a very small number. Any decent college has 100% placement with a good number of students getting 2 or 3 offers.
Decent/Good colleges usually have average placement around 3-4lacs per annum and minimum around 2.5-3.
Just because you want to go to UPTU doesn't change anything, ask 10 educated people, 8 will say the same thing. No point going to UPTU. Other than HBTI, others don't even make it to top 50, and maybe just 1-2 will make it to top 100 other than HBTI. IP Colleges are a lot better and so are colleges like ITM Gurgaon, so is Jamia Milia.
UPTU is not worth it unless you are not getting anything at all and then consider only top 5 or so.
also as for getting just placed, even a useless college student may get placed at 2 lacs an annum and even a iit student gets placed at 8 lacs an annum with 2-3 offering him/her such packages... thats where the difference lies
No. wrong again. first thing starting packages don't mean anything much.
Secondly IITs, NSIT, IIIT H come in a different league all together.
DCE BITS etc come in a different league.
Manipal Jaypee NITs Thapar PSG VIT etc come in a different league
The best colleges have starting packages of 5.5-7.5 on average.
Next to the best colleges the starting packages are around 4+lacs however many good colleges have avg below 3.5 lacs
The worst colleges of UPTU have starting packages of less than a lac a year.
Besides average packages, the minimum, maximum and number of high packages besides international offers matter a lot. More that that matters number of students doing MBA abroad or from IIM or MS abroad. Then matters future prospects and oppurtunities to grow in a job.
If you aren't getting anything better than a C grade UPTU college which it self is C grade as a university, then don't say that good things don't exist.
and for ur info. i want to tell u that my cousin has completed btech from uptu of college bbd kucknow and now he is doing his job in wipro.. he also leave the job opertunity from infosys when he get placed through college in 3rd year.. and for ur kind info. he get wipro through off campus wid starting package of 5 lac ..
