PEC Civil>LNMIIT CSE=JIIT CSE

LNM is slightly better than JIIT however they are almost at par. JIIT may be growing faster infact. As of now these 2 colleges lag behind PEC but I expect the opposite in another 10+ years.

lnmiit is an awesme coll...we r getting a new director now...
Dr.Dheeraj Sanghi..hes a professor in cse in iitk....
he himself suggested dat outside the iit systems, for information technology...he listed names of few colleges.. like iiith, daiict, bits pilani, lnmiit.. so lnmiit is a very gud coll.. a budding institute....
rest is your choice... almost all the private colleges u hav mentioned try to maintain their standards..but keep in mind the city u r goin 2 for different coachings.. n i assure jaipur is a great city...
and hostel is very vital.. n hostels in lnmiit are new and well maintained....

Use this in order of preference:

NIT Allahabad/Surathkal(S first) Civil

PEC Civil

If you live in Jaipur LNMIIT

If you live in Delhi JIIT

If you live in neither want only CSE I would prefer JIIT because it is in a much better location - Delhi Capital of India, you would be able to enjoy you life more in this city.

Let us wait and watch 10 years and then we will talk. As of now PEC is better without a shadow of doubt and if you are getting Civil or Production or higher just grab it without thinking of LNM or JIIT unless you want CSE or ECE.

As for as the future is concerned, pvt colleges will come up due to better infra, faculty, changing perception of the people, better quality, in future may be better company links and privatisation of education as in the USA. The future will be all private. Just like once Maruti used to the best car however today Honda Accord is also just a good one. This is called globalisation and privatisation.

Anyway, as of now go for PEC as it is a better even if you just get Civil unless you have branch preferences in which case both LNM and JIIT are not bad options either.

Growth as in growing name, improvement in placements, popularity in the masses. This takes place most if a college is new and is yet to be established as we are talking of two new good budding colleges here.

Govt won't pay as much to the faculty as pvt ones will do, they will never pay 2 lacs a month while pvt ones can if they want to. That is the same with gvt and pvt doctors and lawyers. Good ones train at AIIMS and go to APollo to make big money.

You will see...

Anyway, at the moment, go for PEC.

here v r not talking abt jobs what u r talking abt AIIMS & apollo is abt jobs, tell me if u would be getting IIT will u leave dat for LNM or Jaypee. all govt. institutes like IIT, IIIT, PEC or DCE . They do have much better placements, faculties. maybe the campus r not gud but still after 4 years there bad campus people will b in gud places & gud campus ones would be in average places.

LNM has faculty from IIT Kanpur. In the future more and more better people from top colleges or even organizations will come for teaching jobs at pvt colleges. DAIICT has very good faculty for instance. So many people leave MNC jobs for IIT coaching as they are paid 2-5 lacs if they are the best ones. That is what will happen here too. Private colleges are paying faculty higher so that will finally get better faculty. At the moment other than IITs no govt college has good faculty.

As infra, faculty and public perception changes placements will change automatically. However all this will take another 10-25years to fully set it.

Whatever happens in th USA happen much later over here.

IITs & IIITs have the best faculties since both r frm HRD Ministry, for PEC & DCE they r many years old & they r really gud. People who have passed out frm there r very well placed in multinational companies. If u attended the Jaypee counselling the vg. salary that they were saying was around 3 lakhs where as avrage salary frm PEC is around 4 lakh with minimum as 3.5 lakh. all these faculties frm IITs 2 LNM or DAIICT r visiting faculties. They r not employed. These faculties visit once or twice a month, maybe they would b having only one or two IIT prof. PEC civil is really a gud combination that a student may get. If LNM is so gud then y didnt u filled that in CCB Form 1 & got that y u filled only Form 2. Dont try 2 misguide people .

DAIICT has full time faculty mostly PHDs from US etc universities

LNM has fulltime faculty from IIT Kanpur to quite an extent

The trends are changing. Just use common sense. If you are a teacher and IIT pays you 20000 per month while LNM pays 1.5 lacs, which would you go to???

That is what. Trends are changing but it will take time.

Anway, everybody knows about the faculty at DCE, jst chk their website: BE from useless universities are lecturers, that is it.

I did not fill form 1 because I don't want to leave Delhi and LNMIIT is not really better than JIIT. I just want to see what is the best thing I can get with my rank and at my rank I can get better things through Form 2 although that is just for namesake as I don't plan to leave Delhi.

Somebody with 10k:

Best bet is NIT Allahabad/Calicut Civil or PEC Civil or IIIT Allahabad Amethi

However next comes LNMIIT and JIIT

when companies come for placements they dont see what the faculty is, students of wich rank r going there or anything like dat. They come 2 colleges on its name, PEC, DCE r developed institutes, now answer me Sri Lanka is a developing country & US is developed. If u r offered a job one in US & one in Sri Lanka then if u r not crazy then u will definitely go 4 US, same way companies go like dat. Their top preferences r IITs, IIITs, PEC, DCE, few NITs. after appointing them then they look for colleges like LNM & Jaypee. DAIICT has a benifit that is after placements if few students r still left then they r recruited by Reliance Group itself. so it has 100% placements for sure.

Most colleges are not growing. They will stay where they are and maintain there places. Some colleges are growing. These ones are:

BITS

IIIT Hyderabad

DAIICT

LNMIIT

JIIT

All these are newly established ones with good potential. An old college has already proved its max worth and won't go any further. Do you expect PEC within the Top 10 in another 10 years? No. However good private colleges will make it to Top 25 or even Top 10 in the years to come. That is what is called truly growing.
