why do engineering at all ? secondly, IIT brand is higher but no one cares when it comes to MBA , i could be from ABC College with relevant work exp excellent CAT Marks and strong personality and get a better seat than an IITian with BTech in Metallurgy from IIT Indore(just an example) with work exp in metal extraction techniques...HBS/IIM don't care a damn as to where u r from if u have good percentiles and good personality and RELEVANT work exp (stress : RELEVANT)

but still it wud be prefereable to pass it from iit bcz iit are iits n dere market value never gonna come down......also, if in future ur mood chang n u don want to do mba or u r not selected fo d same den u will hav iit brand value wid u!!dat matters:)
