wud simply say..........depends on your first attempt if u were prepred but nehow u were under some pressure n cudnt make it to jee only coz of it.......den don drop...coz hard work is done u only need last tym smart work...give a fyn shot nxt tym....wid dat nit( don get too much into ur 1st year cllg life)....

.but if u think u need to turn d big table n one year of sheer hard work is a neccessity(coz u were previously not upto d mark).....dennnn drop...drop is not bad if u can bear dat pressure.......but i think u shud conc on ur 1st attempt rather den thinking of dis!....ryt

well ..when u go for something go for it with full cylinders blazing on..... if u get into NIT and then prepare for IIT... then it might result in ur bad result in the college semester exams which is not so appreciated......when u  r in NIT then give ur best to ur college studies....that would be a better option......

But there r a few crazy ppl..... A very close friend of mine got NIT surathkal in first attempt and prepared for IIT..... His confidence was so very high that he made it to IIT with a rank of 2300 and even got a decent GPA in the college..........

let me summarise things.......the answer to ur question..

advicable-------> not really....

feasible---------> well u can prepare but i'm quite doubtful about the result.....

possible--------> yess..... I believe nothing is impossible...... if u have the fire in u.. then nothing can stop u....that's the reason y i gave u the example of my friend...... if u have that amount of fire and confidence then go for it.... but its not gonna be easy anyway.....

think properly

I certainly think it ain't clever to join a NIT and then simultaneously prepare for IIT-JEE. NITs are brilliant colleges in themselves. Some are even giving the IITs a run for their money. And don't forget that getting admission into a NIT also requires you to be in the top 7000 in AIEEE (if I ain't wrong).

hello dear....

getting NIT in the first attempt is considere to be very good but taking admison in NIT and again preparing for IITJEE is feasible but not advisable........once you get a good college ,why are wasting ur one more year.feasible bcz you get a lot of time along with clg studies
