see there is no risk........there r many ppl who take a drop........and u will definitely get better results....one year drop is never a waste......

on getting a good college like nit you have to study there it is very difficult to manage both and you are drooping so you have to prepare for getting a good rank in iit so if you are determined do not join college every year many droopers make to iit jee its not a risk also if you are getting nit this year than it is confirmed that you will atleast be getting top nits next year so there is no risk so just prepare hard you will get iit

not so fast...i know someone..he got sr of 643 in aieee 2008 and he was getting ME@durgapur...but he dropped for iit...in 2009 he got eml in iit...but 1200 sr in aieee and getting biotech or not evendat one in durgapur...so don't be too confident...no one can predict wat happens in competitives...

Dont kill the humour , dude !

This is the biggest funny situation in the education system in India . People like you join institutes as reputed as NITs to prepare for engineering exams to get into IIT . Its totally outrageously disastreous . I hv been to IIT counselling at KGP this time i found one guy already doin' engineering his rank wasnear the bottom 4500+ :

That doesnt mean you wont score below 4500 , it means if you can , you can do better by taking a drop at home . because two reasons :

In NIT you will have to study Engineering Courses get good CGPA's becoz if you don' an' for any reason you dpn' get iit you will be in

serious trouble .

If you do clear IIT , you will have to study the same course , why make your life boring .

Options :

1. Do good in your NIT get a very nice branch CSE MECH E&E , there you have a good life .

2. Take a drop get into IIT
