Can you tell me which reference book to use to study english for XII boards? I want a choice between Golden Guide and BBC. If you want to suggest some other book, you R most welcome. But please suggest a book only when you are confident about it and you have seen people getting marks in boards with the help of that book. Please! Its urgent. Rates assured.

I saw the BBC book you are talking about and I thought it was good. The Golden Guide is certainly a great help. But I don't use any reference book. I guess you would be interested to know that the Oxford University Press, India also publishes a book for Class 12 CBSE English Examination. Try that one out. It must be good!

I hav come to the conclusion to reject Golden. Now I want a choice between BBC and Together With English.
I hav heard that' together' is also a very good book. But which is better? BBC or Together?

When I first heard of the BBC English book, I thought it was some sub-standard book resorting to using the brand name of the BBC to fool people into believing that it is from the stable of the BBC. Granted that the book is quite good, but the image has stuck on.
'Together with', with the kind of brand image that it has established, must be good.
Why don't you check out the book published by the OUP India? As I have said before, it MUST be good!

regarding english, It is somewhat important as it decides your total percentage - something important. In my school tests, i used to write my own answers and got like 60's outta 100s. For boards, I finally touched my golden guide, and got 94. I must say, that it is extremely well written, ie, quite oriented towards marks. I suggest that you stick to golden, and most importantly try to follow their style for summaries, note making, and even letter writing. Their Notices and Posters are also excellent.
