I would like to know d proper steps to verify Rolle's theorem for example plz xplain 4 :- f(x) = x^2 +2x -8 , x  [-4,2]

first of all u have to start with the conditions of rolles theorum...........mention all the the 3 points serially .....i hope u know the 3 points of rolles theorum..........be careful that the function must written as to be differentialble in open interval (a,b)...........then find f'x.......now equate it to zero.............u will get 2 valuse.....be extremely care ful that both the points lie in the open interval..........

yup....but that comes in the 3 points which i told.......in the case of ur ques,the function is cont coz its a polynomial function.....and for differ. u just find its derivative....thats sufficint
