the graph of the function cosxcos(x+2)-cos^2(x+1)is
 
 
a) a straight line passing through (0, -sin^2 1) with slope 2
 
 
b) a straight line passing thru (0,0)
 
c) a parabola with vertex (0, -sin^2 1)
 
 
d) a straight line passing thru the point (pi/2, -sin^2 1) and parallel to x axis

cosxcos(x+2) - cos^2(x+1)
= 1/2 (cos(2x+2) + cos 2) - cos^2(x+1)
= 1/2(2cos^2(x+1) - 1) + cos2/2 - cos^2(x+1)
= - (1-cos2)/2
= -sin^2(1)
so y=-sin^2(1)
its a straight line passing through (x, -sin^2(1)) parallel to x-axis
is it correct?
