( x - a )² + ( y - b )² = c²

2(x-a) +2(y-b)y₁=0

(y-b) y₁ = a- x

y₁² - ( y -b) y₂ = -1

(b-y) y₂ = 1+y₁²

(b-y) = (1+ y₁²) / y_2.... (1)

(1+ y₁²) = c / ( y - b ) [ This can be got after some manipulation]
c / ( y - b )=

(1+ y₁²) .......(2)
Multiply (1) and (2)

you get the given expression =c
which is independent of a and b
