The Period of the function f(x) = cosec23x + cot4x is
(a)   /3                             (b)  /4
(c)   /6                             (d)
Soln.
Period of cosec23x is pie/3
and period of cot4x is pie/4
and their (pie/3,pie/4) l.c.m is 7pie/12

You don't have to find lcm. You have to find smallest numbers m and n such that m*pi/3 = n*pi/4. And answer is (4,3)
In this case period is pi
