limit is a number that a certain function(lets say of x) approaches as x aprroaches some value
this value of limit is defined only when the approach of x from a value slightly lesser than the given value and slightly greater than the given value gives the same result in both cases
i.e
if x approaches say 0 then approach of x from values slightly less than 0 and slightly more than 0 will lead to the function value approaching the same number
when this is not true limit will not exist

take limit as it general english meaning.........the guy is absolutely correct..... mathematically ...lhl has to b equal to rhl...
