|y|=sinx

and

|y|=|sinx|

for the graph  |y| = sinx

just remove the whole part below the x axis and take mirror of of part above the x axis and draw it below x axis..

 

and for |y| = | sinx|

for |sinx|

just remove whole part below x axis and take its mirror image above x axis..

now nothing is below x axis hence in |y| = |sinx| we have nothing below x axis hence nothing to remove

so the graph remains same ...

i am unable to post graph  due to slower net connection

hello

for gerenal case :

Iy I = f(x)

we take only those x which give positive f(x) . So first draw f(x) for those x only and then reflect them wrt x-axis .

I y I = I f(x) I

as now for any x , I f(x) I will be +ve . So first draw If(x) I and thenn relect this wrt x - axis.
