how to differentiate log |x| ..?[i mean log(modulus(x)) ]

x=0 is not in domain.For x>0 log|x| = logx whose differentiation is 1/xFor x<0 log|x| = log(-x) whose differentiation is again i/zso d(log|x|)/dx = 1/x

differentiation of with respect to x for x0 is =

now we have to find y=

put |x then Y =

y = y=

since we can differentiate |x| only when thus y is not defined when x=0
