Electricity
A 3uF capacitor is charged to a potential of 300V and a 2uF capacitor is charged to200V.The capacitors are connected in parallel with plates of opposite polarity joined together. What amount of charge will flow when the plates are so connected?

see the charge is conserved in this case
let the initial charges be q1 and q2 and final charges be Q1 andQ2
in parallel the potential across both is same
therefore, q1+q2=Q1+Q2
or, c1.v1+c2.v2=c1.v+c2.v where v is the final potential
from here we get v=(c1.v1+c2.v2)/(c1+c2)
now Q1=c1.v=c1*(c1.v1+c2.v2)/(c1+c2)
and q1=c1.v1
charge flown=|q1-Q1|
substitute the values and get ur answer
