for x < R1 , charge enclosed = 0
 
so E = 0
 
for R 1< x < R2 , applying Gauss law E * 2 pi x l = pi ( x^2 - R1^2 ) l
 
so E = ( / 2)( x - R1^2/x )
 
For x> R2 again apply Gauss law
 
E = (/2)( R2^2 - R1^2 ) /x
