ans to options are : a) in radial dirxn b) in the dirxn parallel to vector l c) dirxn cannot be determined d) in a dirxn which dependds on the magnitude of charge density in sphere

If sphere other than the cavity is uniformly charged then the field inside cavity is uniform and along l. So force on q will also be parallel to q. So (b) is right answer.
