a charge q is placed ina spherical cavity made in a positively charged sphere . The centres of spheres and cavity are displaced by a smalll distance I . force on the charge q is :

If sphere other than the cavity is uniformly charged then the field inside cavity is uniform and along l. So force on q will also be parallel to q. So (b) is right answer.
