A metallic particle withno net charge is placed near a finite matal plate carrying positive charge. What is the direction of electrical force on it?

wat u meant by metallic paritcle........?particle is something with infnitesimal size.nothing will happen to that particle,as induction effect will be compensated by the very small size.

a charged metallic body always attracts an uncharged metallic body ...

hence the direction of force will be towards the metal plate.

An uncharged particle will be attracted towards a charged particle. That means in your case, the point sized particle (which you said as metallic particle) will be attracted towards the metal plate.

The induction effect is a little considerable then the body will be attracted due to induced -ve charge on the closer surface!!!

else no effect!!
