Dont have to solve the entire problem just tell me why the electric field due to qa is towards right and due to qb,qc..........is towards left

Here let us we assume that the charges q1, q2, q3 all are similar in signs that is positive, as a result of which qa, qb, .... qe all are positive too.

Therefore the positve charge qa will have electric lines of force moving from it that is the electric field due to qa in the plate is towards right of it. Similarly qb,... too are positive thus will contribute towards the electric field at a point P but electric lines of force are left to these distributions (but again away from the +ve charge).
