1) NaCl molecule is bound to the electric force between the sodium and the chlorine ions when one electron of sodium is transferred to chlorine.taking the seperation between the ions to be
2.75x10-8 cm .find the force of attraction between them.state the assumptions?

Hey, just apply Coulomb's law, to calculate the electrostatic force of attraction,

where one charge = +1.602 x 10-19 C & other charge = -1.602 x 10-19 C , the distance is already mentioned and assume the medium between the two ions to be vaccum. The direction of the force is from positive sodium ion to the negative chloride ion.

I hope I'm correct !!

Dear
When the electron transfers from Na to Cl  Cl  gets -e  charge and Na gets +e charge  e= 1.6 * 10^ -19 )   And you know the separation you can now you can calculate  colombic Force between them
