how do v find the eq R in infinite r combinations.plz give a general method for these.i am stuck half way thru.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the basic concept used in such questions is tht if we add sumthing to infinity it remains infinity..
now let the eq resistance of infinity be x.
consider one same pattern of resistance connected to it..[assume one more U shaped resistance]
now the eq.reistance of parallel comb. is
    xR/x+R
nw it is connected to two resistances(R) in series..
therefore eq. resistace will be
R +R + xR/x+R =x
['coz we hav assumed the eq resistance of infinity x nd we know sumthins added to infinity remains same.. ]
by solving this we'll get a quadratic equation which can be solved easily...
i guess d ans will be
x= R(1+1.732)/2
