the question is
the switch in the figure is kept open for a long tome and is opened at t=0.find the current in the middle 10 resistor at t=1ms
|

i have not done the calculations part but will give u the solution......
when current flows for a long time.........
after sometime it starts flowing though the resistor only.........
in that case the two 10 resistors will be in series nd current flowing will be 12/20=.6
now potential drop across the 10 (middle one) resistor =10*.6=6V
p.d across the capacitor=6V(connected in parallel..........
charge on capacitor=25*6=150 micro coloumb.............
after disconnecting the switch.........
differntiate the expression to get current as i-=q0/RC*e-t/RC............
q=q0*e-t/RC
put all the values nd get the answer......

BUT HW CAN CURRENT FLOW THE SWITCH IS OPEN

think like this ............first u have charged the capacitor nd then u have disconnected the switch nd started the stopwatch.........at t=0............
now the capacitor is charged nd will get discharged............
