Two charges 4 x 10-7 C and -8 x 10-7 C are 20 cm apart.Find the resultsant intensity at a point P situated 20 cm from either charge?

Let there be a 1C charge at P equidistant from the given charges q1 and q2.

Electric Field Intensity E1 due to q1 = 9*10^9*q2^2/r^2

Similarly, find the E2 due to q2.

Eresultant^2 = E1^2 + E2^2+ 2E1E2cosa

cosa= 10root3/20
