IS ELECTROSTATICS TOUGH????????

None

I AM FINDING ELECTROSTATICS TOUGHER THAN THE OTHER TOPICS OF PHYSICS,( SOME OF WHICH WERE EVEN TOLD BE THE TOUGHEST).

IS IT ACTUALLY TOUGH OR IS IT MY LACK OF CONCENTRATION

in this chapter u will gain confidence after about one month of continuous study....
study same book 3-4 times....u will slowly feel confident...

this is a common feeling for this chapter...even wid me...

electrostatics is one of the easiest topic in physics

if u concentrate on it u will surely find it easier

i beg to disagree...not just me but most of my friends DREAD electrostatix...i am reading it 2wice a day for last 1 week and slowly i am able to understand...my friends who can solve mechanix of irodov are finding some sums of Electro of HCV difficult....it will take time....just read it everyday...it grows into u

It seems to be real difficult in the starting...but gradually...difficulty level reverses and it seems easy....

Yeah, it is a little different from the usual kind of physics that we have been studying for a yr now. I think that is the main reason it appears to be tough. I'm sure after some time you'll feel confident. Just dont given up and keep doing sums and revising concepts , repeat numerous times until you get the hang of it. Atleast I am going to do that.

absolutely correct...its different...
coz we have been studying meachanics and dealing wid moving bodies...
suddenly we come accross charges...at rest!!!

thats difficult ....but for a short time....

I tried studying elecstat purely from Resnick without any teaching (coz I missed a few classes, and hence the whole topic) and couldn't understand head or tail of it. I spent forever (2 to 3 months) learning bits and pieces of it (from JEE 2007's AIR 39, hehe, so the teaching was damn good) before I could feel comfortable with the topic. My friend, you are not alone!!

I got AIR 2291 by the way.

if you want mastery in electrostatics of jee level read resnick halliday(the old one orange black in colour) .you will surely be able to understand it. i have tried it myself and i am now quite comfortable with it

hey.........c'mon electrostats is d coolest topic.......don't worry clear ur basics nd practice a lot.....u will benefit.......
do not neglect it just bcoz u r finding it difficult.....
try to put in some more efforts.....iam sure electrostats won't b a problem

if u r thinking it difficult then it will become more and difficult ,if u think easy ,then u will get exillence one day.And dont't forget to concentrate in ur studies and confidence
