ohm's law can be visualized as hook's law in strings. some materials follow it and others to a very limited extent.
the relationship bw E and J or V and I is a very complex one. for a general ohmic conductor in simple conditions the ohm's law is quiet acceptable

But still I am one.

But still I can do something;
And because I cannot do everything
I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.

Ohms law is valid only when V is directly proportional to I i.e V=IR

In case when V is not directly proportional to I again we can use V=IR but only at a certain instant and we say that ohms law is not applicable
