Why does some substances follow ohm's law while others don't??

ohm's law can be visualized as hook's law in strings. some materials follow it and others to a very limited extent. the relationship bw E and J or V and I is a very complex one. for a general ohmic conductor in simple conditions the ohm's law is quiet acceptable

Ohms law is valid only when V is directly proportional to I i.e V=IR
In case when V is not directly proportional to I again we can use V=IR but only at a certain instant and we say that ohms law is not applicable

hey, try reading the NCERT or any other refernce book, it would definitely be explained there(in a better way)...
|
