no
just tell me can water level in a u tube be at different level without any external pressure
uptill now i am tought tht current flows only when thier is potential difference
whole physics is based on this simple concept like wheatstone bridge

arrrrey i have shown u the diagram.....telll me whats wrong in it?????

ya u r right ....current can't flow in a unique direction b/w two points of a circuit at same potential....but i think qns. wordings is not dis...so now what u think???

Arey Shubham bhai Kya hai yeh??

Write KVL for outer loop considering a resistor between the 2 cells

E-E-iR=0

i.e iR=0

i.e i=0

You are wrong bro!! No current flows without a potential difference

But Opposite is Possible

Consider a nonconducting rod moving in a time varying magnetic field......EMF (induced)=non zero but current=0(of course)

Hope this helps.....Nudge for any difficulty!!

what if u apply kirchoff in only one loop considering a resistance in the middle wire....u ppl r nt getting ma point,,,,.....current in a unique direction can't flow when there is no potentail difference....in the above dia. current is changing direction but it is flowing.....kirchoff's law is aplicable when I is in unique direction(i think so).....hope u understand ma pt.....

shubam..................
i didnt get ur figure.........................

Through which part of the wire r u saying tht potential difference is zero but there is a current flowing.....

if it is the middle wire the potential difference is not zero.

shubham is absolutely rite.....u connect some resistances in circuit(not in the middle wire) and current will flow....even in the middle wire...

i = v/R since V and R both are approaching 0...its an indeterminate form...

so we have to determine it using KVL...

i=v/r

since v=0
i=0
I cannot get how r is approaching towards 0

see...its a zero resistance wire....thats the reason why pd across that wire is 0 (coz all points on a zero resistance wire are at same potential)

current cannot flow without potential difference.
potential difference causes the current to flow.....p.d is the cause while current is the result.
