RATES ASSURED!!!!!!! WHEN WE SAY INDUCTOR IS IN SERIES OR PARALLEL .A CONSTANT POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE
None

RATES ASSURED!!!!!!! WHEN WE SAY INDUCTOR IS IN SERIES OR PARALLEL .A CONSTANT POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE IS APPLIED SO di/dt =0..

Sometime our mind get confused with a single line..this is because we only focus on the meaning of that line...we don't care what extra is written with the Line.....i guess you also read somewhere a paragraph...and just start manuplating this line....

What happen in case of Inductor.....Yes a Battery with constant EMF is attached across an INDUCTOR,,Then voltage drop across the INDUCTOR is equal to Ldi/dt...

And u are saying that since it is connected by a constant source....so Ldi/dt should be constant...

And thus there should not be change in i...

But it is not happening actually,,,,no case is considered as IDEAL...fact is every inductance has resistive effect...

SO say an Inductor is conected in a circuit,it means u have connected a perfect inductor + an effective Resistance....due to this series combination of inductor and resistor there is charging process..hence consequentially voltage across L decreases and increases...and thus voltage across L is Ldi/dt
