A truncated cone is made of materials X and Y as shown. The radii of the two vertical surfaces are a and b (b > a). The resistivity of X is p and Y is a superconductor. Calculate the resistance between the two vertical surfaces. Assume, b - a << l.

hey d answer should b zero
a more basic one is given one in HCV
hey if u consider that result given in hcv 4 a simple truncated cylinder
let R 4 a simple truncated cylinder cylinder is R then to get the net result of ur diagram
take seperately that superconductor 4 a timebeing then the bigger truncated cylinder will be have a hollow part inside it which can b considered as a
combination of two truncated cylinder one d bigger one without any hole and the other one that is d hole as truncated cylinder wid  with -ve resistivity
now the net one can b calculated it to be parallel wid d complete one
now also take d truncated superconducter cylinder in parallel wid it

note here it is a superconductor therefore R=0 for d superconducter one hence net resistance of d combination zero

4 a simple truncated cylinder resistance=l/ab
rate if useful
