torque=r*F

when a dipole is placed in uniform electric field E.it experiences a torque,but no force????????????????

net force is zero bt due to different line of action of force torque produced

if f is 0 than torque= d*0=0

hello dear

moment of force is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis

while considering the toque,keep in mind the direction of a torque ,it can be clockwise or ati clockwise

$\boldsymbol \tau = \mathbf{r}\times \mathbf{F}\,\!$

$\tau = rF\sin \theta\,\!$
